UPDATE

Wow, too much time has passed since my last update...

We are sick again....these colds are seriously getting old. Just when I thought it was safe to put the nebulizer away!

On the other hand, JJ is a whoping 28lbs. 13oz. - no, that's not a typo! I am getting used to people saying; 1. wow your arms must be strong! 2. he weighs as much as my___year old!

Yep, and I love every ounce!! Here are some pics, enjoy!!

Stressed??

One Monday morning began just like any other morning, we got up, got ready and for once were on time. I got Jackson loaded up in the car and went to grab my keys.....wait a minute, where are my keys? This turned into a 45 minute panic stricken all out hunt for the keys, tears and all. Well this is the result. I think if someone were to have broken into our house this day they would have left thinking we had already been hit!

Being a new mom is such a blessing, even when stuff like this happens we say, did you get a picture?

Jackson is growing so fast, we are still working on getting better, he is sick with an other cold so we are back to our sleepless nights!

But seriously, who can resist when he giggles and smiles at you 2am? Not me!!

Home Again!

Well, Children's Hospital is a wonderful place to work and as it turns out also a great place to visit when your little ones are sick!

Jackson came down with a cold, like most kids do this time of year but this one was different - rather than getting better he just seemed to keep getting worse to the point he was working way too hard to breathe. After a 3 hour doctors visit on Wednesday we went home to give him breathing treatments all through the night. Well, no one slept, Jackson was not a happy camper and we were back in the doctors office the next morning. They treated him, decided it wasn't working and thought he should be admitted - so off to the hospital we went.

Children's was able to suction an incredible amount of mucous out of his lungs and finally, after three days he turned the corner! He still has a cold and cough but nothing like it was...we are all very glad to be home and sleeping in our own beds! It's amazing two people can fit on that pull out thing in the hospital rooms but it can be done ;)

It's good to be home again.

As I am searching google images for a cute valentines picture for our Blogs header I type in sweethearts and I laughed so hard I nearly peed my pants! For all of you that may not know each Birthday Uncle Travis gets the latest Jackass card (started because one year lots of us got him the same card without ever knowing it....so, it's now a family joke!)

Happy Birthday Becca!! We began the celebration with a great morning at the wild animal park, boy was it a hot one, 91 degrees! Becca loved the new playground and after some convincing decided she loved the carousel! What a nut....

Happy New Year

Happy New year!! Hope everyone is happy and healthy (we just finished with round 2 of the colds)

Along with the new year it was back to work I go, hi ho, hi ho......

It's hard to leave Jackson for 9 hours a day (it makes waking up with him in the middle of the night more of a treat now! Just don't tell him I said that!!) He is doing great in Daycare and loves his day with Grandma and Daddy.

Who could resist this face? He has kisses smiles and laughs for just about everyone! We love the tongue - it's always sticking out but I have yet to get a picture of it!
Last night was Becca's Birthday Party - Jackson was sporting the outfit Auntie Missie bought him for Easter. Yes, that's right folks - its still a good 3 months away. The party was a hit, Chuck E Cheese still has it going on. Hard to believe Becca is 2 already, 3 will be here before we are ready I guarantee it!

He's so BIG!!

Well we went to the doctor for Jacksons 2 month check up (and shots, yuck) he is a happy and healthy little guy weighing in at, drumroll please...................................

17lbs 4 oz and 25 3/8 inches long!

My little overacheiver is off the charts, but we already knew that!! Next week we will be starting football :)

We made it out to Christmas Card Lane this year, Jackson mom and Grandma spent most of the time in the "chase car" - a very smart idea if you have little ones who don't particularly like the cold too much. The houses were fabulous and the Christmas spirit was alive and well! Next year we so want to do the horse drawn wagon for the tour, it was soo cool!
